Miami Recreation and Play Spaces was established in June 2020 as a direct result of the needs of the community during the pandemic. Our organization started by providing parent/child programs to support women and children. We provided information on wellness and attachment to parents and focused on intergenerational education for the children. The success of our programs made us want to further establish our organization and we became incorporated in June of 2021. Miami Recreation and Play Spaces was granted charitable status in February 2022. Over the last few years, our organization has broadened its focus to include the community as a whole, resulting in the offering of some wellness initiatives such as paint nights, GLOW program, the walking club, and the Personal Power Program.
